Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at zero August 7–Monday
MOSCOW, Aug 15 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices have showed zero dynamics for a fourth consecutive week from August 7 through Monday, and inflation amounted to 2.3% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for millet grew 1%. Pork, poultry, and sausages inflated 0.3–0.4%. Prices for sugar fell 0.6%, while frozen fish, chicken eggs, and buckwheat became 0.2-0.3% cheaper.
Prices for fruit and vegetables fell 2.3% on average. Prices for potatoes and carrots fell 4%, and for cucumbers and tomatoes dropped 3.8% and 3.1%, respectively.
Gasoline prices declined 0.1% and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
